About Us
OUR ROOTS
FOUR ORDINARY PEOPLE. ONE BIG MISSION.
CCF wasn’t built in a boardroom. It started with four people from completely different walks of life - a commercial cannabis farmer, an attorney, an accountant and a pastor - who all saw the same problem: an industry full of potential, stuck in confusion, fear and red tape.
So, we decided to do something about it.
UNITING THE INDUSTRY
WHAT WE’RE HERE FOR
Because staying compliant shouldn’t feel like solving a riddle.
UNITING THE INDUSTRY
WHAT WE’RE HERE FOR
We created the CCF to bridge the gap between the people on the ground and the people making the rules. Because real progress in South Africa’s cannabis industry doesn’t happen behind closed doors - it happens when everyone has a seat at the table.
Our work supports the goals of the National Cannabis Master Plan, helping turn policy into action by connecting government departments, retailers and consumers in one conversation that actually makes sense.
We believe the cannabis economy can be inclusive, fair and thriving but that only happens if we all move forward together.
PEOPLE BEFORE POLITICS
WHY WE’RE DIFFERENT
We’re not politicians.
We’re not corporate giants.
We’re just people who love this plant, love our country and believe in doing things the right way - legally, transparently and with heart.
CCF stands for collaboration over confrontation, education over intimidation and progress over politics.
We’re here to build trust between communities, businesses and government, one conversation, one compliant store and one bold step at a time. Because this isn’t about fighting the system. It’s about fixing it - together.
MEET THE CCF TEAM
THE PEOPLE MAKING IT HAPPEN
Our Objectives
Because when everyone’s informed, included and protected – the entire industry grows.

Bridge the Gap
Create open, ongoing collaboration between government departments, industry stakeholders and the public - because progress requires everyone at the table.

Support Legal Cannabis TradeSupport Stores
Help retailers stay compliant, informed and protected through practical tools, training and advocacy - turning compliance from a headache into a habit.

Strengthen Community & Accountability
Represent and protect our members through transparent systems, verified suppliers and fair engagement. When we stand together, we all stand stronger.

Drive Industry Reform
Work alongside governing bodies to influence policy development, simplify licensing and ensure small businesses and communities aren’t left behind in South Africa’s cannabis economy.
WHY THE INDUSTRY NEEDS US
Challenges We’re Tackling
Let’s be honest - the South African cannabis industry is a bit of a maze right now. Everyone’s trying to do the right thing, but the rules keep changing, the systems aren’t clear and too many good people get caught in the middle.
-
Confusion Over What’s Legal (and What’s Not)
From Section 21 to licensing, most people are guessing - and that’s not how an industry grows. We’re here to translate the legal jargon into plain English and guide both businesses and consumers through it.
-
Retailers Being Treated Like Criminals
Too many legitimate store owners get raided or shut down because no one explains what “compliance” actually means. We’re changing that by working with authorities - not against them - to protect compliant operators and build trust.
-
No Unified Compliance System
Right now, everyone’s doing their own thing - scattered documents, missing files and no safety net. CCF creates a centralised, verified system that keeps stores compliant and customers safe.
-
Lack of Education & Representation
There’s still stigma, misinformation and fear around cannabis - even in 2025. We’re tackling that through education, awareness, and advocacy so the public and policymakers understand the real industry.
-
Disconnect Between Government and the People
Policy is being written in offices while the real experts - farmers, retailers and everyday users - are out of the conversation. We’re fixing that by bridging the gap, making sure every voice is heard as South Africa’s cannabis future is built. Because fixing the problems starts with facing them - together.
